“Define survey area” panel

When a KMZ/KML file is missing, it is possible to define a survey profile or rectangular area through the controls of this panel.

Panel for the definition of the survey area.

Fig. 15 Panel for the definition of the survey area.

The panel consists of the following commands.

  • L1(m) and L2(m): represent the dimensions in meters of the two sides of the rectangular area. To define a survey profile, one of the two dimensions can be set equal to 0.
  • Longitude (degrees), Latitude (degrees), Azimuth (degrees): parameters for georeferencing the survey area. Latitude and longitude specify the geographic coordinates of the vertex at the bottom left of the rectangle. The azimuth defines the orientation of the L1 side relative to North. These parameters can also be left at 0 if the user has no need of georeferencing the area.

Note

In case the area is not referenced, when saving the project, the DATA file only will be generated with the complete list of electrodes and quadrupoles. Of course, it is not possible to produce the KML file storing the sensors to be displayed on Google Earth TM.
